This is so…. sad.
Yeah, so, this is kinda bullshit.
I got linked to this on twitter when it was making the rounds and, being me, I am a curious bit of business. I went looking at her profile. Turns out she’s a blogger. A vlogger and, in fact, this seems to be her *JOB*.
Which she’s doing pretty decently since she has a following of about ninety thousand people.
So, when she ‘tearfully’ describes how they made no money off the song and asks why this video got deleted when so many other videos didn’t…she’s hoping nobody notices that she *WAS* making money off it. That’s kind of the entire point of her job.
Pointing this out, by the way, got me blocked. (As I just discovered when I went to c&P her bio)

It’s not sad. It’s fucking ridiculous and juvenile. I’m a fanwriter. I’ve been dancing around copyright for years. It sucks. Sure it does. However, turning it into a ‘campaign’ guaranteed to net sympathy which she can turn into exposure, hits, and cash?
Yeah, no.
Also she hasn’t lost shit. She admitted as much. They have the video. They just can’t upload it to youtube for her followers to see. And share. And make ad money off of.
